The BCPVPA will host its first provincial conference in more than a decade on October 22 and 23, 2010. Connecting Leaders: Schools for the Future will present Tony Wagner, author of The Global Achievement Gap and co-director of the Change Leadership Group at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, as the keynote speaker. Tony is also on the faculty of the Executive Leadership Program for Educators, a joint initiative of Harvard’s Graduate School of Education, Business School and Kennedy School of Government and the author of three other books, including Change Leadership: A Practical Guide to Transforming Our Schools. A selection of breakout sessions, led by skilled BC educators, will be offered, with both elementary and secondary issues addressed. Registration for this conference is now open. The conference will be held at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel and special group rates are available for bookings received through September 18.
