The BCPVPA represents its members by working in a respectful, consistent and determined way, in co-operation with our education partners, to influence government education policies. We engage our members in the development of our positions and the advice we give. We communicate effectively with members. We tell our stories to describe the critical nature of our roles and the challenges we face. We share these with the government, partner groups, community leaders and the media. We involve principals and vice-principals in the development of public education policy. We advocate for our members and for public education with the conviction that the BCPVPA is the most credible voice in education in the province.

Membership

If you are a principal or vice-principal in British Columbia's public education system and you don't belong to the BCPVPA? we think you should. There are many reasons to join, not the least of which is to support and be supported by a network of more than 2,350 of your colleagues around the province. Apart from networking, there are many practical reasons as well:

assistance with contracts;
professional development programs
legal protection;
access to the BCPVPA listserves;
access to BCPVPA research.

The association's listserve, Educator, has attracted more than 925 members and lively on-line conversations are on-going. If you would like to join, please e-mail your name, school, and position to Richard Williams.
