BCPVPA Student Scholarships

The BC Principals' & Vice-Principals' Association annually awards up to 40 scholarships, in the amount of $500 each, to students who are graduating this school year from the B.C. public school system and are proceeding to a post-secondary institution.

  • Ten of the 40 scholarships are reserved for children of BCPVPA members.
  • The remaining 30 scholarships are open to all BC graduates.
  • Two scholarships are established for First Nations students.

Application requirements

  • Certified copy of transcript of final grades from the current/graduating school year (Ministry of Education document with final government exam results, which is not issued until August)
  • Proof of paid registration at a post-secondary institution (ie. copy of tuition fee receipt or letter from the Office of the Registrar. Please note: A letter of acceptance is not considered proof of registration)
  • A short essay indicating leadership roles held in your school and community and your post-secondary aspirations
  • A letter of reference from a member of the BCPVPA (preferably your school principal)
  • One additional letter of reference

The application deadline for this year's program was September 16th, 2011. Please visit again in March 2012 for the applications for the current year.

Application forms

Completed applications must include your official government transcript of final grades, which is not issued until August. Applications will be available in April for this year's scholarship program.

BC Retired PVPA Student Scholarships

The BC Retired Principals' & Vice-Principals' Association will award 4 scholarships/bursaries, in the amount of $500 each, to students who are graduating this school year from the B.C. public school system and are proceeding to a post-secondary institution. Applicants who are pursuing education in technical and career fields are encouraged to apply. Applicants will be judged on their academic achievements and demonstrated leadership activities within the school and the community.
